Spotlight on Avoiding Triggers & Eating Disorders
An emotional trigger is anything – such as a specific memory, experience, or interaction (for example) – that promotes an intense emotional reaction regardless of your current mood. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and recovery from anxiety disorders are two conditions associated with strong responses to such triggers.
