Dr. Sricharan Moturi founded Saber Psychiatry in 2020 to treat Sleep Disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Treatment-Resistant Depression, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, Early-onset Psychotic Disorders, and Psychopharmacology (medicine use).

In the last 12 years, he has served as the Director of the Adult Psychiatry Division and Adolescent Behavioral Health Division at Rolling Hills Hospital. He has had practices in Nashville and Brentwood, setting up this practice in Franklin in 2021.

Dr. Sri Moturi comes from a small town in Southern India, where he grew up in his early childhood and adolescence. He always harbored ambitions from age seven to go to the United States, partly influenced by Hollywood movies like Jaws, Apocalypse Now, Good Will Hunting, Platoon, Outbreak, Patch Adams, etc.

He was highly influenced by his father, who trained in Ireland as a pediatrician and planted the first seeds of interest in child mental health.

  • Additionally trained in Pediatric Sleep Medicine
  • Additionally trained in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a non-medication option for individuals with Depression

Dr. Moturi has received many teaching awards, including the prestigious Argus teaching award at the University of Alabama and Fellowship awards from national organizations during training. He has authored and co-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in clinical textbooks, with particular emphasis on the sleep/ mental health interface, and continues to do so.

Dr. Moturi lives with his family here in Tennessee and proudly calls Williamson County his home. He had previously worked at every plausible mental health setting here in Tennessee, ranging from inpatient/ outpatient units, community mental health programs, and correctional facilities..

His hobbies include listening to Indian music, practicing singing, playing basketball and cricket with his children, walking his dog, Chai, and cooking on Sundays, focusing on subtle French techniques. He considers his role in this community as a God-given, humbling opportunity to spread the gospel of better mental health.
