I’m Terra Lomber. I’m a psychiatric physician assistant (PA-C). I work here at Saber Psychiatry, and I do medication management. I normally see patients from ages 16 to 65, anything from depression, anxiety, ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity), and PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder).
We also have therapy as well, so we focus on therapy and medication management. Some people want medication; some people don’t. Either way, we’re fine with the decision. We’re very conservative with medication. We’re not just going to throw medication at people, but we believe in the benefits. We go over the risks, benefits, alternatives, and different medications, and make sure the medication is right for that patient.
I really like it when patients come in with their success stories, even if it’s just a little goal; they’re happy to tell me about it, and they’ve been waiting all week to see me because this happened. I also have patients give me updates by email, and I tell them, “Hey, just shoot me an email and let me know what’s happening.” I love getting those updates. I love following up with clients between our visits.
I also enjoy seeing other family members. Sometimes a daughter will work with us, and then the mom will come in and feel comfortable with the environment here. That’s what I love.
I’m Terra Lomber at Saber Psychiatry, and if you’re looking to talk with someone, start your mental health journey or just continue it, please give us a call at 615.678.7839.

Note on the PA-C Degree
A physician assistant (PA) is a healthcare professional who works with doctors and gives medical treatment. Pas are typically doctor’s partners, not supervisees. They are independent clinicians who have extensive medical education and clinical training. Pas can be certified by the National Commission of Certification of Pas, earning the PA-C designation. This certification requires 100 hours of additional continuing education every two years and a national recertification exam every six years.
